I have been practicing Remedial Massage since 1990 in a variety of contexts both in Melbourne and here in Wodonga, and these days I specialise in postural assessment and correction and the improvement of the body's fascial system with respect to the capacity for nerves in particular to move freely during motion. I am now a practitioner of Neurostructural Intregration Therapy which is a powerful healing manual therapy that combines brilliantly with stretching. I have been the main lecturer in the Diploma of Remedial Massage at Wodonga Institute of TAFE since 2001. I first became interested in stretching during my massage training and at the time I was working as an electrician. This occupation led to excruciating back pain that many different practitioners failed to alleviate. Self analysis of my patterns of inflexibility allowed me to create a corrective program that had me running soon afterwards. Attendance at an early workshop with Kit highlighted the massive health benefits of stretching and nowadays I could not survive without my twice weekly meditation and stretching sessions. I passionately believe in massage as a means of healthcare but I love stretching as an active means of stress reduction on many levels. I love teaching stretching to students and clients and the response is always rewarding. Further information can be found at www.naturaltherapypages.com.au/therapist/15342 |
